Tuition Reimbursement & Scholarships

At PGTI, we encourage personal development through formal education so that you can maintain and improve job-related skills or enhance your ability to advance your career. We also support the education of future talent by contributing toward the cost of post-secondary education for your dependents.

Tuition Reimbursement

To help you grow with the company, PGTI will provide tuition assistance for courses related to your current job duties or a foreseeable future position in the organization. This reimbursement is available to all regular full-time team members who have completed at least one year of service in an eligible employment classification.

You must request approval for reimbursement from your Leader and PGTI Benefits prior to both course registration and the start of class. A final grade of “A” or “B” (or “Pass” if the course if Pass/Fail) is required to receive reimbursement. Submit your final grade and receipts to Human Resources within 30 days of course completion.

Eligible expenses for reimbursement include tuition, books, lab fees, parking permits, application fees, processing fees, administration fees, and graduation fees (excluding graduation attire). Tuition reimbursement will be capped at a lifetime maximum of $50,000.

Keep in mind: Because the company is making an investment in your development, you are expected to remain in good standing and employed with PGTI for two years following the last date of reimbursement. If you voluntarily resign or your employment is terminated for cause, you will be responsible for re-paying the pro-rated amount of your total reimbursement based upon the number of months remaining in that two-year period.

In addition, we are committed to helping you balance the demands of work and school by offering a temporary flexible work arrangement to complete a required course in a degreed program or a manufacturing certification. Alternative school/work scheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Inspire the Future Scholarship

PGTI offers all full-time team members who have completed at least one year of continuous employment $2,000 per dependent, per year, to assist in removing the financial burden of higher education costs. This scholarship can be used for your dependent’s tuition expenses related to an accredited certification program, two-year college degree, or four-year college degree. PGTI will make the scholarship payment directly to the school or university. To apply, access an application from your business unit’s intranet and submit it to Human Resources with proof of course enrollment, by attaching a bill or invoice from the institution.
